Okay, so, I am turning 29 tomorrow... yay! Wait um...nooooo!
Its my last year of my twenties. I have a goal for this year. I want to get into excellent shape before I turn thirty. What does excellent shape mean? Hum...good question. To be honest I don't really know. It sounds like a question to be answered by the individual if you ask me. Well, I want to look bikini ready, yup that's it... at least for me. So join me will you on this little adventure. Subscribe to my blog so that you can track my updates as I go.
Here's my plan:
1. I'm NOT. I repeat, NOT changing my diet. Not only am I stubborn as a mule, but I believe that if you consciously change your eating habits by reducing your intake, you are doing a diservice to yourself, biology aside. Yeah...yeah...yeah...I know I could eat healthier, but did you ready my statement above... I'M STUBBORN! I also find that my eating habits change as I exercise (Scientific fact! I won't go into all the science of it. I'm a scientist at work and that's where it's gonna stay.)
2. Starting tomorrow, I will post my initial BEFORE picture. I will then take a new picture of myself in the same outfit, in the same position and in the same place (granted I don't move as I subscribe to apartment living at the moment) every Wednesday for a year, or unless I achieve bikini success before then.
3. On the 9th of every month (why the ninth, well because that's the day I started), I will then post my latest picture next to my initial BEFORE picture (the one I will take tomorrow March 9th, 2011). This way you can visually see the progress I have made month by month. I may even occasionally post consecutive months next to each other so you can see the gradual changes...honestly, I haven't decided yet.
4. I will include a log of what activities I participated in that week.
Now, here's the embarassing part, my personal data if you will:
I am 5'2" tall, 135 lbs. Feel free to calculate my BMI if you like, but this, for me, isn't necessary. I'm looking for visual results.
Why do this? Well, there are a few reasons. I, first of all, like to see before and after pictures on the internet. They are in fact mini-success stories. I also feel that blogging my progress will give me a little extra motivation to stick to it. Trust me, I by no means am excited about throwing my before picture out there. The only reason I can allow myself to do it, is that I hope that picture will soon be a distant memory.
